The sun was shining, the air was buzzing, and the streets of Ilkley were filled with the sound of music this past weekend as the Ilkley Live Festival returned for its fifth year. On July 11th and 12th, the town transformed into a vibrant stage, celebrating local talent and bringing the community together through the power of song.
This year’s festival was bigger and better than ever, with a diverse line up of musicians performing in a variety of venues. From the lively commercial spots like The Flying Duck and The Ticket Office, to the more intimate and unique settings of private gardens, there was something for everyone to enjoy. The festival is a true testament to the community spirit of Ilkley, with performances taking place in people’s own backyards, creating a truly unique and welcoming atmosphere.
Attendees were treated to a fantastic array of musical styles. The Ilkley Live Busking Festival saw talented performers set up at popular spots around town, including Ilkley Railway Station, The Grove Promenade, and Riverside Gardens. The line up featured a mix of local artists, with sounds ranging from acoustic covers and original folk songs to stomping blues and alternative rock.
