Outside the Box (OTB) is a vibrant social enterprise in Ilkley dedicated to helping adults and young people with learning disabilities and autism reach their full potential. Operating from our award-winning café and community hub, we provide a supportive, professional environment where members build confidence, vocational skills, and lasting friendships.

Our Core Services

Our fee-based programs offer a blend of professional training and personal development:

• Vocational Training: Members gain hands-on experience in our busy community café, learning food preparation, barista skills, and customer service in a real-world setting.
• OTB Works: A dedicated pathway to employment, providing support with CV building, interview techniques, and local work placements.
• Creative “Choices” Workshops: A wide-ranging program featuring music, drama, photography, and arts and crafts, alongside practical life skills like cookery and digital literacy.
• Health & Wellbeing: Regular sessions designed to promote physical fitness and mental wellness within a social, inclusive atmosphere.

By combining professional mentoring with a community-first approach, we help our members transition from the classroom to the workplace and beyond, ensuring every individual has the opportunity to lead a fulfilled, independent life.
