Wharfedale Speakers Club is a local club dedicated to helping individuals improve their public speaking skills. Affiliated with the Association of Speakers Clubs, the group provides a friendly and supportive environment for people of all abilities, from complete beginners to experienced speakers.

Members “learn by doing” through a variety of activities, including prepared speeches, impromptu talks on allocated subjects, and constructive evaluations from fellow members. The club’s mission is to promote confidence, clarity, and proficiency in the spoken word, whether for a business presentation, a wedding speech, or simply to feel more comfortable expressing oneself in front of an audience.

Wharfedale Speakers Club meets on the first and third Wednesday of each month from September to May at the Bridge Church Rooms in Otley. Visitors are always welcome to attend and see what the club is all about.
